The Votive Church (Votive), was designed by Heinrich von Ferstel, designed in the Gothic style, its construction began in 1853 and was completed only in 1879. It opened on April 24, 1879, during the Silver Jubilee of the royal couple.

On the attack to the young Kaiser Franz Joseph at age 18, who, having survived an attack that could be fatal, ordered the construction of this church.The main idea was to make a mausoleum of the famous Austrian but it would ever materialize.

In the church stands the altar of Antwerp, late Gothic carved altar.

In commemoration of the Emperor of Mexico, brother of Franz Joseph, Maximilian (Ferdinand Maximilian), and their new home was erected the altar of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Furthermore we can find a candle of 4 mts high and 3 dmts wide and weighing 264 kg called "candle Barbara" (Barbarakerze) 1930. It is said that the length of this wing would be 100 years.
