Utrecht is a city of the province of Utrecht.

Located on the banks of the Rhine, in the center of the Netherlands, it was a prominent Roman fortress and later a large medieval center of wool producer and exporter of cattle of Friesian appreciated.

Utrecht is the smallest province and the oldest in the Netherlands and is known for its famous cathedral with its bell tower. And its numerous canals and wharves are famous worldwide because no other city has pedestrian  romantic canals from the fourteenth century.
