About Sistine Chapel

Although it is called "chapel" is much larger than traditional hoods know. When you enter you find yourself with an aura of solemnity impressive. There are many guards that stop you from taking pictures (or try, at least) and do not let them raise your voice too. People sit on the bench around the walls and watches in silence, because there is much, much to observe. In fact, most do not know where to start. The Bobeda, the front side frescoes, tapestries, absolutely the whole chapel is fully decorated.

Very striking is the extraordinary frescoes that cover the whole front of the chapel, Michelangelo's Last Judgement. Deep blue background, I amazed at the ability of this genius to paint something so huge with amazing detail. In the dome stands the famous image of the Creation of Adam, and the cooler side and murals designed by Raphael. What struck us most is that almost all the chapel is decorated with frescoes, and Miguel Angel makes a prodigious work also drawing architectural structures, columns, arches, etc. they are a spectacular realism. In fact, it costs you see are actually paintings, sculptures and relief. A fence separates into two chapel, the back is also full of frescoes.

The Sistine Chapel is essential if you go to Rome.
