Segovia is a historic Spanish town in Spain situated on a rock escarpment. It is one of the most beautiful and monument-filled cities in Spain. The city has inherited the mixture of Muslim, Jewish and Christian cultures.
This historical inheritance is reflected in three of the most representative monuments in the city: the Aqueduct, the Cathedral and the Alcázar. Just an hour from Madrid by car, Segovia’s well-known gastronomy makes it one of the most tempting excursions for those that visit Madrid.

Just one hour away from Madrid, this town is a must as you can see in person Roman constructions. The most famous is the aqueduct. However the town in general is pretty, all the streets, the local shops, the gorgeous main Cathedral, the Castle-Palace from many centuries ago. I highly recommend eating 'cochinillo' (small pig) or lamb on one of the local restaurants. It's a must!
