The river Ganges is one of the great rivers of the Indian subcontinent, flowing east from northern India across the Gangetic plain to Bangladesh.
After 2510 km it ends forming, with the river Brahmaputra the world's largest delta, the Ganges delta in the Bay of Bengal.
It has long been considered a holy river by Hindus, who have worshiped as the goddess Ganga in Hinduism.
It is also one of the best places for rafting in Asia. The incredible rafting places around Ganges are in the most distant part of the river which makes the experience even more thrilling. The best time to practice rafting at the Ganges is from September to November and from March to May.
