A few meters from the Pantheon is one of the most beautiful squares of Rome: Piazza Navona. Her beauty is both in the oval (in the first century housed a stadium) as well as dramatic fountain is located in the center, the Fountain of the Four Rivers, by Bernini. To increase the drama of the source, it is crowned with a huge obelisk 15 meters high.

The fountain represents the four largest rivers in the world at that time: the Ganges, Nile, Danube and the Rio de la Plata, each represented by a large sculpture.
