Welcome to Paris
Paris has the reputation of being the most beautiful and romantic of all cities, brimming with historic associations and remaining vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design. Dubbed the City of Light (la Ville Lumière) and Capital of Fashion.
It is home to the world's finest and most luxorious fashion designers and cosmetics, such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Guerlain, Lancôme, L'Oréal, Clarins, etc.
A large part of the city, including the River Seine, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has the second highest number of Michelin-restaurants in the world (after Tokyo) and contain numerous iconic landmarks, such as the world's most visited tourist sight the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, Moulin Rouge, Lido, etc, making it the most popular tourist destination in the world with 45 million tourists annually.
Paris is the capital and largest city of France. It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region.
The city is served by three international airports: Charles de Gaulle International Airport (Roissy), Orly International Airport and Beauvais (Aéroport de Beauvais Tillé). Paris is well connected to the rest of Europe by train. There is no central station serving Paris, the six different stations are not connected to each other. You will probably want to know in advance at which station your train is arriving, so as to better choose a hotel and plan for transport within the city.

Paris is the nicest city worldwide ! Maybe this could not be applied to all its inhabitants (some seem to be arrogant, negligent, dirty or lousy) but the city itself is really fascinating.

Paris! The City of Light! Paris is a beautiful city. Seriously don't let the train from the airport make you wonder how the city is beautiful? The French are a very prideful culture similar to how many Americans are. They love their heritage and they love the language. Learning to say a few French phrases will go a very long way! Walking into a store ore restaurant saying "Do you speak English?" first will often give you an unwelcoming feeling. Instead go in saying "Bonjour Parlez vous l'anglais?" (Hello, do you speak English?) More often than not they will respond with Qui, which means yes and will be very friendly and appreciated that you tried to speak a little french.
One of my favorite things about Paris are the obvious Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and Louvre. However if you have time try walking around the streets and avoid taking the Metro (which is the best in the world) unless you have too. What you might find off the tourist path might surprise you.
