About Palacio Real
The Royal Palace was built in the eighteenth century by Philip V, on a former site of the old Alcázar, the Moorish castle before. Sachetti began work in 1738 and completed in 1764. Sabatini made the southeast wing and the grand staircase or staircase. The plant is square with a large central courtyard. The door of the Prince, on the east side of the building, giving access to the central courtyard. Sabatini Gardens and Campo del Moro is another attraction of the palace, and all of its facades. There is a debate at the time of framing it in a style, depending on the authors, some are more inclined to the Baroque and the Neoclassical. The interior rooms are numerous and include the Hall of Alabarderos, that of the columns, the Hall of Mirrors and the Room of King Carlos III, among many others. You can see paintings of Velazquez, Goya, Rubens, El Greco and Caravaggio.
