It is the great century museum to raise awareness of didactic, interactive and enjoyable everything related to the evolution of life, science and technology. In the spectacular building designed by Santiago Calatrava, visitors have more than 26,000 square feet of exhibitions related to current science and technology

The Science Museum Príncipe Felipe has become a global benchmark of the interactive science and one of the most-visited sites with more than 24 million visitors since its launch in 2000. Its main objective is to stimulate curiosity and critical spirit, trying to surprise and entertain the public through the content it offers on the world of science, technology and the environment.

The full interactivity is one of its identity under the slogan "No touching, no feeling, no thinking." The vehicle which the Museum has a huge variety of temporary exhibitions and scientific animations of all kinds which arouse curiosity about new technologies and advances in science, creating a fun learning in which the protagonist is always the visitor Choosing where to go and what you want to know.

The diversity of the many interactive exhibits and outreach activities that have been developing in the museum have culminated in a major public success, which undoubtedly has responded warmly to the proposal to disseminate the science and technology from the fun and entertainment , but without sacrificing scientific rigor to the minimum time necessary to address the topics covered.

In all of these outreach activities, live experience remains the most exciting and fun to acquire scientific knowledge. Therefore, in addition to the exhibitions, the Museum offers a full program of scientific animation, which encourages public participation and collaboration with the monitors.

Some of these animations take place in the exhibition area. The intention is to enable the visitor participation and completion of questions. The scientific messages that reflect the exposures are explained here in a way closer.

Animations are also available in the "experimental classrooms." These classrooms are spaces dedicated to workshops and demonstrations more systematic. In "Science on Stage", for example, visitors can enjoy spectacular experimental demonstrations, participatory and fun to learn basic scientific principles.

In addition to offering scientific animations daily, throughout the year programs are offered complementary activities: astronomical observations, lectures and conferences related to science and culture, special courses for teachers, collaboration with university professors, etc.

Also, during these years the Science Museum has become a leading forum for a variety of scientific conferences. Even has established itself in international reference center in hosting major events like the V-Mediterranean Summit, the International Congress of Astrophysics "100 Years of Supernova", the Meeting on Desertification in the Mediterranean Region, 57 International Astronautical Congress, or 27th Plenary Meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change United Nations, among others. It also maintains close cooperation, frequent exchanges with staff and equipment, with major science museums in the world.
