Plaza Mayor (in Polish Stary Rynek) The Old Town Square - was the center of the ancient city of Poznań. The market place and place of celebration was drawn during the time of the founding of the city, is one of the largest in Poland. Here were built the most lavish homes. Most of the houses (also in the streets leaving the square), were rebuilt in the fifties of the twentieth century in its historical form, mainly baroque and classical Estill. On some Remains of the Gothic and Renaissance, among others, vaulted cellars and hallways as well as quarters covered by roofs.
Among the best preserved walls is, on the east side of the square, the baroque building, called the Red Pharmacy, current House of Britain. Today in Plaza Mayor is also the only Museum of Musical Instruments in Poland. Takes place in June in the picturesque Market Square in San Juan.
