The Malaga Picasso Museum is one of the six museums devoted to Pablo Ruiz Picasso that exist in Spain.

The museum contains about 155 works donated by Picasso's family. It was opened in 2003.

Buenavista Palace was originally a mansion that was built in 1530 by Diego de Cazalla, Regidor de Málaga, half a century after teh conquist of Malaga after almost eight Muslim rule. Later, the palace passed through different owners until they are adjusted to a museum.

Buenavista Palace, courtly architecture from the sixteenth century was the flagship private building in the city for its large lot, excellent location and its sturdy exterior image that gives the powerful observation tower.

He has been undergoing changes depending on the type of Malaga: two-story building around a colonnaded courtyard. This simple scheme enabled the versatility of the uses it has had throughout its history, without structural transformations.
