Las Vegas

Welcome to Las Vegas

Las Vegas, The Entertainment Capital of the World, is famous for the number of casino resorts and associated entertainments. It is the best place for gambling, shopping and fine dining. Almost any desire can be gratified instantly in this place. The slogan of this city is "What happens is Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas".

Is is the most populous city in Nevada, the seat of Clark County, established in 1905, Las Vegas officially became a city in 1911. With the growth that followed, at the close of the century Las Vegas was the most populous American city founded in the 20th century (a distinction held by Chicago in the 19th century). The city's tolerance for various forms of adult entertainment earned it the title of Sin City, and this image has made Las Vegas a popular setting for films and television programs. On the other hand, Las Vegas also has the highest number of churches per capita of any major U.S. city. Outdoor lighting displays are everywhere on the Las Vegas Strip and are seen elsewhere in the city as well.

The city has giant mega-casino hotels, decorated with lavish care and attention to detail to create a fantasy-like atmosphere. The casinos often have names and themes that evoke romance, mystery, and far-away destinations.

User Reviews

  • I lived here as a teenager and have been back for both my 21st and 23rd birthdays! I love Vegas!

  • visit the strip clubs.

  • The American capital of parties and craziness. You have to go there knowing what to expect: lots of casinos, lots of restaurants and shops, lots of lights and odd copies of classical monuments. I spent $20 on the casino knowing that I was going to lose it (i did), I enjoyed the fountains of the casinos, and the parties. We went to the Hard Rock Hotel for $20 person/night, disco and pool included ;)
