Welcome to Granada
Granada is a land of legend, conquest, and treasures. The big tourist attraction is the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada for lovers of snow sports. But Granada keep a cultural treasure in every corner and every dark street.
The city offers cultural and tourist attractions of all kinds: Routes, country, city, interesting festivals, beaches within walking distance.
The city of Granada is placed at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of three rivers, Beiro, Darro and Genil, at an elevation of 738 metres above sea level yet only one hour from the Mediterrean coast, the Costa Tropical. Nearby is the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, where held FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1996.
The Almohad urbanism with some fine examples of Moorish and Morisco constructions is preserved at the part of the city called the Albaicín.
Granada is also well-known within Spain due to the prestigious University of Granada and, nowadays, vibrant night-life. In fact, it is said that it is one of the three best cities for university students (the other two are Salamanca and Santiago de Compostela).
Its nearest airport is Federico García Lorca Airport.

Known by having La Alhambra, the wonderful Arabian Palace, this city from the south of Spain is a must visit. It's a really good idea to visit Seville-Granada-Córdoba to have a taste of the Spanish-Arabian culture of the 8-15 centuries. Really nice environment, food, people. Highly recommend the view of La Alhambra at sunset. You should start the day with some "porras" with chocolate. There are great there.
